What does attracts our attention to a specific subject? This was the real question of Cartier Bresson. Hard to say. This image is from Kampong Chhnang – in the heart of Cambodia where village lies with its stilt houses over a lake. There, people live in wooden shacks more or less adorned and beautiful children staring at you. Quiet, calm, away from the nois, you crosses their eyes: their beauty is their simplicity, their shyness. Here all was shaped to capture my attention: beautiful color tones, the eyes, the skin, the shirt and the hammock, which all made this a natural art painting.
